Immigration Forms

To contact us Click HERE
It's easy to find immigration forms on the web, but I'm always surprised by how many scams there are associated with these forms.  If you need immigration forms, please start by visiting www.uscis.gov.  At the top of the page, you'll find a link for "Forms," which will take you to a complete list of all USCIS forms.  There are a few forms, like the I-90 (to renew your permanent resident card) or the I-765 (if you are renewing your employment authorization) that you can actually file electronically, after you set up an account with USCIS.  You can also file an extension or change of status application electronically.

Be careful of the web address:  the correct address has the .gov designation, which lets you know that it is the official government website.  Any other site (uscis.com, or uscis.net, for instance) will not be the official USCIS website.

You can get all the information you need about which documents need to be submitted with each form by opening the form instructions, which is an option when you click on the name of each form.  Read the full instructions carefully; although the information about the form provides some of the details you'll need, information about whether passport photos or other supporting materials are required is contained in the longer list of instructions, which opens as a pdf document.  The forms are all available as downloadable, fillable forms.  You'll just need Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is available as a free download--there are instructions for downloading right on the site, but most people will find that their computer came pre-installed with Acrobat Reader.  Don't be taken in by forms websites that charge for forms or for the ability to download and complete the forms--you can save your own copy, and fill the forms in for free by visiting www.uscis.gov.

If you have questions about which forms you need to complete, or if you don't feel comfortable with any step of the process, there are helpful "how to" guides at the uscis website; from the home page, you can find the topic you are interested in (for instance, family based immigration), and click on the link to learn more about that topic.  If you still have questions, or if you just want to make sure you understand the process, do contact an immigration attorney for further information.  You can always reach me at christina@cruddenlegal.com, or by phone to (267) 536-9127.

Good luck to you!
