I learned a long time ago that today's professional librarians are not your grandparents' shy spinsters in spectacles.  They are for the most part dedicated passionate professionals with high principles... especially where free speech and the free flow of information are concerned.

No surprise,then, that they are rallying behind their hapless colleague sued by a publisher over a blog posting.
